Introduction:
Comparing to thumb release type bipods, this bipods is more steady. Thumb release type design shifts the center of gravity of the whole item. One leg with less force so not steady enough.
This type pole bipods allows surveyors to set up a standing prism pole or RTK(GPS) pole with seconds.
Great for one-man operation.
Legs extend to 1.8m for use in uneven terrain. Collapses to 1.1m.

How do I use a prism pole?
For a surveying prism to be effective, it needs to be attached to a pole so it can stay in a fixed position. It needs to be properly aligned with the instrument to ensure accurate results. And because these tools have been proven over the years, many people don’t see them as the reason for measurements that seem a little off. If you’re pointing to a prism that isn’t perpendicular to the instrument’s line of sight, it can harder to find its exact center. This can result in measurements that aren’t as precise.
